When no-code website builders like WordPress and Squarespace first emerged, they revolutionized web design by enabling users to create sites without writing code. But over time, these platforms grew more complex, driven by the need to scale and add endless features. Unfortunately, the result was higher prices and websites that became increasingly difficult for non-technical users to manage.
With over two decades of experience building websites for clients on these platforms, founders Eric, Ryan, and Elizabeth noticed a recurring issue: most regular users struggled to maintain and update their own sites. This was great for keeping developers busy, but it wasn’t serving the clients’ best interests.
We spoke to countless small business owners and individuals who felt left behind—either unable to afford professional help or overwhelmed by the technical challenges of building their own site. It became clear to us that many people were being overlooked by the larger platforms.
For years, we held onto a vision: to create a website builder designed for those forgotten by the big companies—one that’s simple, affordable, and empowering. Finally, we came together to bring that vision to life.
